How we create our content

Clear information requires sources, a defined scope and a recognisable distinction between explanation and opinion.

Sources and legal context

Our legal explanations draw on public sources including Rechtspraak, Rijksoverheid, De Letselschade Raad and professional organisations. Each guide lists its sources. The information concerns Dutch law and does not determine the outcome of an individual case.

Our editorial process

We do not claim that a lawyer has reviewed them. A specific case requires expert advice tailored to the individual.

Explanation and opinion

The knowledge base explains rules, options and considerations. Opinion articles contain an editorial position, supporting arguments and a counterargument. Proposals for improving practice are not presented as existing legal rights.

Tools and privacy

The tools help you organise information and calculate using your own entries. They do not decide liability, rights or the amount of compensation. Entries are not stored or transmitted. Downloads are created in your browser.

Translations

All eight language versions concern Dutch law. A translation does not mean a service provider speaks your language. Legal concepts can differ between languages; ask for an explanation if you are unsure.
