Household assistance after injury: which tasks count?. General information.
If injury prevents household tasks, identify what you previously did and what changed: cleaning, laundry or shopping, for example. The issue is a specific additional need for help, not merely a label.
Record who takes over each task, how often and for how long. Distinguish the previous division of tasks from additional injury-related help. This supports discussion of hours and changes during recovery.
De Letselschade Raad describes possible use of standard amounts for household assistance; external help is not always decisive. Ask which evidence and arrangement suit your situation. Relatives' help does not automatically mean unlimited reimbursable hours.
Tasks must be necessary because of injury, with reasonable hours and costs. Ask which guideline version is used and how your household was considered. Do not use an old online tariff without checking conditions and application.
Discuss changing needs and support already provided. Keep arrangements and payment records. For larger jobs, discussing a quotation beforehand may be sensible. Our guide organises tasks; the tool does not decide your compensation entitlement.
Read the full explanation and sources on our website. Obtain an assessment of which rules apply to your situation.
